Save, load and delete items in the browser local storage
Web apps can keep small amounts of data on your device using the browser's
local storage. This app lets you save, load and delete your own items, and lists
everything currently stored for the site, so you can see what is kept and that it
is still there after closing the browser or reinstalling the app.
Open the app
How to use it
- Save : enter a key and a value, then press Save.
- Load : enter a key and press Load to show its value.
- Delete : enter a key and press Delete to remove it.
- Clear all : removes every item stored for the site.
About local storage
- It is kept in your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
- Each site has its own storage, so this app only sees items stored for
pacificblue.app, and other sites cannot see them.
- Each browser keeps its own copy, so items saved in Chrome are not visible in
Firefox or on another device.
- Browsers allow up to about 5 MB of local storage per site.
- Items stay until they are deleted, or until the browser's site data is cleared.
More detail is in MDN's
localStorage
